More Than a Trip
Independent Alpine was founded on a simple belief: some of the best moments in life happen outside. Whether it’s long days on the mountain, time spent on the river, or campfires after a good day, these outdoor trips create experiences that slow life down and remind us what truly matters.
After years of skiing, guiding, rafting, and working in the great outdoors, we noticed a consistent truth—when good people spend time outside together, real connections form naturally. Conversations flow more easily, friendships develop quickly, and for a little while, life feels so much simpler.
Independent Alpine was created to foster and encourage more of those meaningful moments.
Why We Started This
The concept for Independent Alpine didn’t materialize overnight. It began as a name and an idea that lingered, unfinished, for quite some time. We sensed its significance, but we hadn’t fully discovered what it was destined to become. As time passed, one thing became evident: this wasn’t intended to be just another outdoor brand trying to sell a lifestyle. Instead, it was meant to create unforgettable outdoor trips that foster real connections. Like many, we've witnessed how easily we can lose touch as life accelerates. Friend groups evolve, priorities change, and carving out time becomes more challenging. Yet, every time we found ourselves immersed in nature—with the right people—it all came rushing back. That profound feeling became the cornerstone of Independent Alpine.

Independent Alpine is created by individuals whose lives have been deeply influenced by the outdoors. With years spent on ski patrol, guiding rivers, and long weekends devoted to outdoor trips filled with snow, hunting seasons, and campfires with friends, the outdoors has always been more than just a hobby for us—it’s where some of our best memories were forged. This experience is crucial because we’re not crafting trips from the outside looking in; instead, we’re designing genuine experiences centered around good people and real connections that we’d truly want to be a part of ourselves: simple and meaningful.

We’re starting with small outdoor trips—rafting adventures, ski weekends, and gatherings that foster real connections, adventure, and shared experiences.

We want Independent Alpine to be a place where people arrive not knowing anyone and leave feeling like they’ve found their crew. A community rooted in good people, wild places, and unforgettable experiences. Our goal was never to create a brand to sell to a community; instead, we aim to build a brand with a community.
