The first weekend is in the books. Next one is coming

The First Independent Alpine Weekend
It's in the books.
8/28/26 thru 8/30/26
📍 The Forks, ME
What started as an idea became real this past weekend.
The first Independent Alpine crew came together in the Western Mountains of Maine for three days of getting outside, adventure, good food and good company.

We spent the day on the Kennebec River with Northern Outdoors. Some had gone rafting before, some were first timers. We enjoyed an amazing riverside BBQ along with a beautiful float in the sunshine.

Local guide, Greg Hudzina, joined us on the river as well as taught fly casting lessons. We spent time on the water in local spots practicing those skills. We all left the weekend with a new hobby.

We spent the weekend camping out next to the river and enjoying a fire both nights. This was the perfect base camp for the weekend.

We enjoyed some group meals, a river side BBQ, mouth watering breakfast sandwiches and a delicious rib-eye dinner the last night.

The first weekend brought the idea to life. Now we're building what comes next.
Independent Alpine is about bringing like-minded guys together, getting outside, and creating experiences worth remembering.
The first crew showed up. We're just getting started.
